Forty-Two Story Museum Tower Topped Out

DALLAS — The developers of Museum Tower residential project announced  that the building’s construction has reached the 42nd floor.  With construction rapidly progressing toward a completion date in late 2012, a topping out lunch for the over 1,500 workers will be hosted by the general contractor, Austin Commercial, to mark the milestone.
“Museum Tower is truly a unique project. The efforts of our development, design and construction teams are unmatched and our sincere thanks go out to Austin Commercial, its subcontractors, consultants and work crews who have put in more than 672,000 hours to keep us on schedule and allowed us to celebrate this topping out,” said Lyle Burgin, developer of Museum Tower.  Burgin and John Sughrue, principals at Brook Partners, are co-developing Museum Tower with Dan Boeckman and Gregg Greene, partners, Turtle Creek Holdings.
“Museum Tower is an iconic building of unparalleled quality that complements the Dallas Arts District, which has emerged on the global stage as an international cultural destination,” said Dan Boeckman.
Museum Tower will have 42-stories with 112 ultra-luxury condominiums envisioned as “sky-bound” estates, with nine floor plans ranging from a dramatic 1,600-spare foot pied-a-terre to a spacious full-floor of more than 9,000 square feet.

  1. I have been wondering what the Nasher is going to do now that the Museum Tower is intruding into the skyspace of Turrell’s “Tending (blue)” – which has always been one of the special spots in the city. It’s ironic that the tower is doing so much damage to one of the institutions that it is named after.
