Noble Energy Center One Sells; Formerly a Compaq Building in Northwest Houston

HOUSTON – Noble Energy Center One, a 500,000 SF building that was originally part of the Compaq Computer campus in northwest Houston, has been sold to Cole Corporate Income Trust of Scottsdale, Ariz. Originally built in 1998, the 10-story structure was redeveloped, certified LEED Gold, and leased by Noble Energy as its corporate headquarters in 2012.

Trammell Crow Co., in joint venture with Principal Real Estate Investors, redeveloped the tower and were the sellers in this deal. Bernard Branca, Jared Chua and Russell Ingrum of CBRE represented the seller. The building sits on 3.5 acres of land in a premier office park in Northwest Houston located at Louetta Road and State Highway 249.

Work has just begun on an adjacent office tower, the 20-story Noble Center Energy Center Two. The 470,000 SF structure,  developed by Trammell Crow and Principal with Kirskey as the architect, is slated for 2015 completion. The company’s new campus will employ more than 1,600.

The Noble Energy Center campus is adjacent to The Vintage, a master-planned mixed- use community that features 537,000 SF of retail/office space, over 1,600 upscale residences, two apartment communities, a 123-room hotel, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, and a St. Luke’s regional hospital.
