HOUSTON – (Realty News Report’s People in Real Estate) – CBRE announced that industry veteran Jim Bailey has joined its Houston Advisory & Transaction Services team as a Vice Chairman. Bailey will focus on providing leasing and strategic consulting services for office occupier clients.
Bailey has brokered some of the largest office lease, sale, and build-to-suit transactions ever in Houston. He previously spent 30 years assisting clients with their office space requirements at Cushman & Wakefield and its predecessor entities in Houston. … “Jim has been a dominant force in the Houston business community for decades, helping some of the most sophisticated occupier clients navigate dramatic shifts in one of the country’s largest office markets,” said Peter Mainguy, Senior Managing Director & Houston Market Leader at CBRE.
Cameron Colvill has joined Whitebox Real Estate, a Dallas-based commercial real estate firm that recently entered the Houston market. Colvill was formerly with Cushman & Wakefield. He is the son of office leasing pro Chip Colvill, founder of Colvill Office Properties, which was acquired by Cushman & Wakefield in 2020. Whitebox, represented by Andrew Brod, recently leased space for its new offices at 510 Bering.
Colliers appointed Crystal Kingsbury to the Houston marketing and research team as Marketing Manager, where she will specialize in public relations, digital marketing, company outreach and events. Kingsbury is a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women), as well as Fort Bend Society of Commercial Realtors. “As Colliers continues to grow, we have put a strategic focus on digital and content marketing, consumer data, and predictive analytics as well as lead generation,” said Colliers Houston Chief Marketing Officer, Crissy Nolen.
Colliers hired Adriana Shaw to be on the Houston retail team as Senior Associate, where she will specialize in tenant representation and services for restaurant tenants and franchises. “Our retail team has been adding new client assignments at a rapid pace over the past year as the economy wakes up,” said Colliers Houston President Patrick Duffy.
Kristen Barker has joined Edge Realty Partners as a principal. She had been with Wulfe & Co., leasing retail space for a number of years. Previously, she was with AmREIT and Trammell Crow.
Lindsay Motley has been named Texas regional president for the Ashton Woods homebuilding firm.
ATLANTA – Portman announced that Dotan Zuckerman has been appointed Head of Retail and Activation. Portman’s mixed-use pipeline encompasses more than 2.2 million SF of new development across the country.
DENVER – Hertz Investment Group has tapped Evan Djikas as Chief Investment Officer, based in Denver. “Evan’s vast experience and execution capability, coupled with his pragmatic and strategic perspective, will give HIG a tremendous lift in regard to our investment activities on a regional and national scale,” said Zev Hertz, Chairman of Hertz Investment Group. “As we expand into other asset classes – including multifamily, this type of background will be essential to ensuring our success” Prior to joining Hertz, he was EVP and leader of an Occupier Solutions Team at Colliers International.
