HOUSTON – Wade Bowlin, who now leads Madison Marquette in Houston, will become Principal and Managing Director in the Houston office of Avison Young. Rand Stephens will remain with AY as a Principal. Avison Young has signed an agreement to acquire major Madison Marquette’s office leasing and management and other commercial real estate service lines, covering over 11 million SF in Houston. DALLAS – CBRE Group announced E.M. Blake Hutcheon has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors. Hutcheson is President and CEO of Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), one of Canada’s largest pension plans. CBRE Group, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Dallas, is the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm (based on 2021 revenue) with 105,000 employees.
SAN ANTONIO – Transwestern Real Estate Services announced that Kate Deady, Property Manager in San Antonio, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International.

Ric Campo Named Maritime Leader of the Year
HOUSTON – Port Houston Chairman Ric Campo was honored as the 2022 Maritime Leader of the Year by the Greater Houston Port Bureau at its annual black-tie dinner held Saturday in Houston. The Port Bureau Board of Directors selected Campo as the 2022 honoree for his “steadfast commitment to improving the greater Houston port region.”
Campo was instrumental in the successful start of Project 11, the widening and deepening of the Houston Ship Channel, which broke ground in May. Project 11 is designed to improve the nation’s busiest waterway by creating safer and more efficient navigation for the ships and vessels that transport goods and cargo through the channel, and ultimately deliver more jobs and economic impact to the Houston region, state, and nation.
