David W. Myers, a veteran journalist who covered real estate for decades, has passed away. Early in his career, Myers covered real estate for the Los Angeles Times, where he shared in Pulitzer Prizes for team coverage of the 1992 riots and a major earthquake in 1994.
For a number of years, Myers authored About Real Estate, a nationally syndicated column for King Features Syndicate that was published in more than 100 newspapers. Based in Southern California, Myers also worked as a realty reporter for Inman News.
He was a member of NAREE – the National Association of Real Estate Editors – for many years. Myers received more than a dozen awards in NAREE’s Real Estate Journalism Competition.
Myers was author of the book “If You’re Clueless About Buying a Home.” His work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Money magazine and many other publications.
