Tri Pointe Homes Buys 147 Acres

AUSTIN – (Realty News Report) – Tri Pointe Homes has acquired of 147 acres in the new Lagos Austin planned community, located in Northeast Austin.

Tri Pointe, one of the largest home builders in the nation, will build 358 homes on the property, which is within easy driving distance of the massive 4 million-SF Tesla Gigafactory where thousands of electric vehicles are manufactured every month.

The new 675-acre Lagos Austin community, which is Austin’s Bergstrom International Airport, celebrated its ground  breaking in December 2023.

“The vibrancy of Northeast Austin has made it one of the fastest-growing areas of the city,” said Bryan Havel, division president of Tri Pointe Homes in Austin. “Tri Pointe Homes has built in multiple neighborhoods throughout the Austin metro since 2016 and Lagos Austin is our first foray into the northeast corridor where we recognized a greater need for modern housing for discerning homebuyers who have flocked to the region. We hope to be selling our first homes in this community this time next year.”

Tri Pointe’s homes at Lagos Austin are anticipated to range from approximately 1,800 to 3,000 square feet and include 3 to 5 bedrooms and 2 to 4 bathrooms. In addition, the planned community is expected to feature both a 10-acre park and an amenity center.

Lot development on Tri Pointe Homes’ first 112 homesites in phase one is currently underway, with approximately 245 additional homesites being developed in future phases. Sales of Tri Pointe’s homes at Lagos Austin are anticipated to start in the first quarter of 2025.
