HOUSTON – (People in Real Estate from Realty News Report) – CBRE announced that Russell Hodges has been promoted to Senior Managing Director for Investor Services in the company’s Houston office. Hodges will replace Mark Taylor who has served in the role since 2007. Taylor, who spent the last 40 years in the commercial real estate industry, will
retire in March. “Russell is highly regarded by his peers and clients for his deep market knowledge and his strong leadership abilities,” said Peter Mainguy, CBRE’s Houston Market Leader. “I am confident that his expertise and strategic mindset will be a differentiator to our team and clients as he builds on the legacy left by Mark Taylor.” Hodges has 19 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently as an executive vice president on CBRE’s Investor Leasing team.
HOUSTON — Newmark has hired top producer Elliott Hirshfeld to its Houston office agency team. Over his 25-year career, Hirshfeld has completed over 600 leases with a total value exceeding $1.5 billion. Prior to joining Newmark, Hirshfeld served as Senior Vice President with CBRE. Hirshfeld will work with Newmark Executive Managing Director David Baker and Director Kristen Baker.
HOUSTON – Preston Young has been named national head of investor services at Stream Realty Partners. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

DENVER– JLL Capital Markets announced that long-time Denver office head Eric Tupler will transition the day-to-day office leadership to next-generation leaders, Senior Managing Directors Leon McBroom and Peter Merrion.
TAMPA – Ryan Companies US, Inc., a national commercial real estate solutions provider, announced that Brad Hill has been named vice president of construction operations in the Southeast region. Hill will be responsible for activities in seven states.
