SAN FRANCISCO – Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice believes the U.S. military should be fully funded and equipped to re-establish American values around the world.
Rice, speaking before ULI’s 2015 Fall Meeting in San Francisco recently, says the U.S. should protect the Syrian refugees who are leaving their country.
U.S. troops should be deployed in the Baltic region as a deterrent to expansion by Russia, Rice said, addressing thousands of members of the Urban Land Institute at the ULI’s Fall meeting at the Moscone Convention Center.
Rice served as Secretary of State from 2005-2009 under President George W. Bush. Rice is currently the Denning Professor in Global Business and the Economy at the Stanford Graduate School.
