BELLAIRE, Texas – One of the first Taco Bell buildings in Texas has been sold.
The 1,260-SF building, topped with a red-tile roof, was built in 1967, according to a Harris County Appraisal District record obtained by Realty News Report.
The first Taco Bell opened in Downey, Calif in 1962. The chain opened its 100th restaurant in 1967. Today, more than 6,000 Taco Bells operate around the world.
For the last 14 years, the former Taco Bell building, 5210 Bissonnet at Bellaire Boulevard, had been Roadster Grill, which closed a few weeks ago. The building was purchased by Sagstex Investments, led by Sion Saghian.

Texas tries way too hard to claim things that are Californian. Taco bell started in LA, when it became a franchise with 100 locations this Texas restaurant popped up. Nothing special.
This building was built in the 1960s. History shows, there weren’t many fast food joints back then, relatively speaking.
