HOUSTON– (Realty News Report) – Flight Club, a British import bar and restaurant concept which has revolutionized the traditional game of darts, leased 8,500 SF in Houston’s Inner Loop.
Flight Club will open in late 2021 in Regent Square, aa new mixed-use development near the intersection of West Dallas and Dunlavy in the Allen Parkway Corridor.
The Houston version of Flight Club will feature semi-private game areas, eclectic bar program led by award-winning Peter Vestinos, and menu curated by acclaimed Chicago Chef Rich Gresh.
Houston is the first Texas location for the British-based chain, which bills itself the birthplace of the Social Darts phenomenon.
“Houston is an incredibly diverse city with vibrant food and drink scene–we are so thrilled that our first Texas location will be in this market,” remarks Alan Cichon, U.S. President of State of Play, the operator of the chain. “Houston has shown the world time and time again how resilient it is, and we cannot wait to be a part of the fabric that makes up the Houston culture.”
Flight Club offers a unique social gaming experience through specially designed technology and spacious set-up. Equipped with award-winning dishes and cocktails, Flight Club offers patrons an immersive—and delicious—experience. Keeping with the British tradition of darts, Flight Club has completely innovated the world of pub-games and can accommodate groups of six to 400.
“Everything is bigger in Texas—including our concept,” Cichon said.
To date more than 160 million darts have been thrown by over 2 million people globally since launching in October 2015. Chicago-based State of Play, is the exclusive operating partner for Flight Club in North America.
State of Play is a creator and operator of technology-enabled experiential leisure concepts. For nearly a decade since launching its first concept Bounce in London 2012, the State of Play team has gone on to create, launch, and operate several more experiential concepts.
The Regent Square development is being developed south of Buffalo Bayou, near the Montrose and River Oaks communities. Regent Square will include 300,000 SF of shops and restaurants, 200,000 SF of offices, 1,500 residences, and valet and self-parking spaces for 4,200 vehicles.
Arch-Con Corp. is the general contractor of the Regent Square, which was designed by CBT, a Boston-based architecture firm. A significant portion of the 24-acre Regent Square site had been the location of the old Allen House apartments.
