Carson Developing 400,000 SF in Bayport, Near Houston Ship Channel

HOUSTON – Carson Companies has broken ground on four buildings in Bayport Industrial Park on Houston’s southeast side.

The four buildings, which will have a total of 397,775 SF, will be located west of Texas 146, not far from Houston’s Barbour’s Cut and Bayport container terminals as well as the Ship Channel and petrochemical complex.

“This project is a continuation of our strategy to meet the space needs of port and petrochemical related logistics and manufacturing users which have recently been quite active,” said Dan Zoch who leads Carson’s Houston operation.

E.E. Reed is the general contractor and delivery is scheduled for January 2017.

Carson owns an additional 22 acres in the park which it will ultimately develop on a build to suit or spec basis and hold long term.

The project architects are Seeberger Architecture and Tomorrow Planning.

This is the 3rd phase of Carson’s Bayport development program the next phase will feature a 275,000 square foot cross dock facility. Carson owns an additional 22 acres in the park which it will ultimately develop on a build to suit or spec basis and hold long term.

Based in Newport Beach, Calif., Carson Companies is a private Real Estate Investment Trust and has been in business for over 100 years.

Carson also owns the 37-acre Northwest Crossing Industrial Park off of Highway 290 in northwest Houston and the Carson Commerce Center on Highway 225 in Pasadena.
