HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – DSV Air & Sea, a global transport and logistics firm, leased 114,400 SF of industrial space at Prologis Central Green located at 16605 Air Center Boulevard in Houston.
The distribution facility is located near Bush Airport in North Houston.
The landlord, Liberty Property Trust, was represented by Adam Bray of Prologis. The tenant, DSV Air & Sea, was represented by Barrett Gibson and Jeff Peltier of Colliers.
Headquartered in Hedehusene, Denmark, the DSV company has over 1,600 offices/logistic facilities in more than 80 countries and employs over 75,000 people.
DSV is an abbreviation of “De Sammensluttede Vognmænd af 13-7 1976”, which translates to “The Consolidated Haulers.”.In 2007, the company shortened its name to DSV A/S. The company was formed in 1976, in the small town of Skuldelev in Denmark, where 10 owner-operated haulers who joined forces to create the firm.
The new Houston location for DSV is in Houston’s North Corridor in the North Hardy Toll Road industrial submarket. The submarket contains 44.4 million SF of industrial space which is currently 91 occupied. There is over 2.4 million SF of industrial space currently under construction in the submarket.
In another major industrial deal, it was recently announced Lovett Industrial, the Houston-based real estate firm led by Frank Liu and Charlie Meyer, in partnership with PCCP acquired the Claymoore Portfolio, consisting of 1.4 million SF of industrial buildings in Houston’s Northwest submarket.
