HOUSTON – FlightAware, an aircraft flight tracking company, has leased 24,500 SF in the Eleven Greenway Plaza office building in the Inner Loop of Houston for its global headquarters.
Neil Tofsky, chief executive of Senterra Real Estate Group and Kevin Tofsky, vice president represented FlightAware in the lease. J.P. Hutcheson of Parkway Inc. represented Parkway, which owns Greenway Plaza.
FlightAware, which currently occupies 12,000 SF in Eight Greenway, will relocate to the twenty-ninth floor of Eleven Greenway.
Greenway Plaza is a mixed-use development near the Southwest Freeway and Buffalo Speedway. It has 10 office buildings with 4.2 million SF of office space.
Greenway Plaza was developed in the 1970s and 1980s by Century Development. Neil Tofsky was an executive with Century years ago. During his career, Tofsky has leased over 3 million SF in Greenway Plaza and other projects, including Coastal Corp.’s 650,000-SF lease in Greenway Plaza several years ago.
Greenway Plaza’s office buildings are being acquired by Canadian institutional investors as part of a $1.2 billion deal to buy the entire Parkway company, a transaction that is expected to close later this year.
Senterra is handling construction management for the build-out of the FlightAware office space. Endurance Builders is general contractor for the finish-out, which was designed by Gensler.
