HOUSTON – Hines, the international real estate firm based in Houston, is opening an office in Greece.
Greece has been in a recession for six years and in the first quarter of the year, Greece’s jobless rate stood at 27.8%. But there are projections of improvement and analysts say Greece bottomed out in 2013.
Hines said Paul Gomopoulos has been promoted to Managing Director and will be relocating to Athens to begin Hines operations in Greece.
We believe that the time is right for Hines to bring its world class real estate development and investment capabilities to Greece. The country is transforming and the entrance of Hines and other institutional quality players will further promote this transformation,” commented Gomopoulos.
