In Memoriam – Howard Rambin
HOUSTON – J. Howard Rambin III, Co-Founder of the Houston-based Moody Rambin real estate firm, passed away on August 25, 2024. He was 79.
Mr. Rambin launched Moody Rambin in partnership with Dan Moody Jr. in 1969. The firm began with the development of a few patio homes at the intersection of Woodway Drive and Potomac. From those roots, the company went on to develop over two dozen suburban office buildings, in addition to retail, multifamily, hotels and industrial properties.
Moody Rambin has sizable commercial real estate brokerage services. In over 50 years of working in the business, Mr. Rambin was involved in leasing some 15 million square feet of office space.
Mr. Rambin was born in New Orleans but he lived in Houston since the 1960s. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Mr. Rambin founded the Keep Houston Beautiful non-profit organization and was actively involved in supporting entrepreneurship.
A Remembrance Service will be held at the Houston Country Club at 3:00 PM on Thursday, Sept 5, 2024.
