TEXAS CITY – Home building activity has begun in Lago Mar, a 2,033-acre master-planned community in Texas City, southeast of Houston.
Lago Mar began with commercial development – the Tanger Outlet Mall, a Bucees, and a 35-acre Adventure Pointe theme park.
Lago Mar, developed by Land Tejas Cos., a Houston firm led by Al Brende, is located on the west side of Interstate 45, north of FM 1764.
Gehan Homes and Westin Homes are the first builders in the community, which will have 4,500 houses upon completion.
