The Morgan Group has acquired the Buffalo Pointe apartments, located about a mile from the historic Astrodome.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – The Morgan Group, a Houston-based multifamily firm, has acquired The Beacon at Buffalo Pointe, a recently completed, 281-unit, Class A apartment community near the Texas Medical Center.

JLL’s Chris Curry,Todd Marix and analyst Bailey Crowell marketed the community on behalf of the seller, Allied Orion Group, and procured the buyer.

Located less than a mile south of Loop 610, the Beacon at Buffalo Pointe is situated on 32.4 acres at 10301 Buffalo Speedway near West Bellfort. It is adjacent to the University of Texas property that was once envisioned as a data research institute, before political forces and University of Houston boosters successfully worked to kill the proposal.

The community is located within five minutes of METRORail’s Red Line and 10 minutes from the Texas Medical Center.

Completed in 2017, the four-story, mid-rise property consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom units averaging 862 square feet and 484 parking spaces.

The community has a fitness center; clubroom with demonstration kitchen and coffee bar; a dog park with wash station; and an electric car charging station.
