THE WOODLANDS – (Realty News Report) – Four firms have leased office space in Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, a 28,500-acre master planned community located 27 miles north of downtown Houston
Ring Energy, Haynes and Boone, LLP, and Plus Power, LLC. signed new leases in Hughes Landing. In addition, Webber, LLC has renewed its 46,164-SF lease.
“The combination of low taxes, world-class amenities, open spaces and high quality of life in The Woodlands make it an appealing choice for companies looking to offer their employees an outstanding work environment,” said Jim Carman, President of the Houston Region for The Howard Hughes Corp.
The 79-acre Hughes Landing continues to meet the demand for Class A office space with its appeal to corporations of all sizes.
As companies continue to encourage employees to return to the office in the post-Covid era, suburban locations have been more appealing to some corporate decision makers, said CBRE Global Chief Economist Richard Barkham in recent remarks at the NAREE conference for real estate journalists.
In the latest leasing flurry, Ring Energy was represented by Charlie Neuhaus and Harry Holmes with Partners. Haynes and Boone was represented by Sanders Thompson with Transwestern, and Plus Power was represented by Abby Alford and Lucian Bukowski with CBRE. Webber was represented by Jerrod McQuain, Paul Penland, and Mark Reilly with JLL.
The Howard Hughes Corp. was represented by Robert S. Parsley, Norman V. Munoz and Jillian Fredericks with Colliers.
Ring Energy, an oil and natural gas exploration and production company, has leased 24,002 SF to expand its headquarters at 1725 Hughes Landing. Haynes and Boone, , a corporate law firm, relocated within The Woodlands and has leased 7,568 SF at Two Hughes Landing. Plus Power, LLC which develops battery energy storage systems that enable a more efficient and reliable electrical grid, has leased 6,991 SF at Three Hughes Landing. Webber, a construction and infrastructure management company, renewed its multi-floor lease at 1725 Hughes Landing
One of the largest master planned communities in the nation at 28,500 acres, The Woodlands is home to 120,000 residents, and over 66,000 people work there.
Howard Hughes Corp. develops The Woodlands, Bridgeland, The Woodlands Hills and other master planned communities around the nation, including Summerlin in Las Vegas. Other Howard Hughes developments include the Seaport in New York City; Downtown Columbia, Maryland; Ward Village in Honolulu, Hawaii; and the 37,000-acre Teravalis near Phoenix.
