HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – The Houston District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) has appointed Jason Tramonte Jr. AIA as the incoming Houston District Council Chair. Tramonte will serve a two-year term as the chair for ULI’s local district council, succeeding Justin Levine of Levcor. Tramonte is as owner and managing principal of Tramonte Design Studio, where he excels in master-planning and ground-up build-to-suits. The mission of the Urban Land Institute is to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.

HOUSTON – Partners Real Estate announced that Harrison Schuhmacher has joined the firm as Vice President, Office Tenant Representation in Houston. Prior to joining Partners, Schuhmacher served as Vice President of JLL’s Office leasing team in Austin.

SAN ANTONIO – TBG Partners, an urban design, planning, and landscape architecture firm with offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, hired Erika Picard as Principal and Firmwide Director of Business Development. Based in TBG’s San Antonio office, Picard joins San Antonio’s Managing Principal Elaine Kearney and Urban Design & Planning Principal Samantha Whitney to further bolstering the firm’s influence in the Texas market.

HOUSTON – Jon Carrasco was named Global Lead, Business Intelligence at Avison Young.

SEVERNA PARK, Md. – Relevate, a leader in Realtor and MLS Management and SSO systems, announced the hiring of Sheila Dodson as Director of Industry Relations. Dodson, a strategic visionary in organized real estate, joins Team Relevate just as the company’s new single-sign-on and communication platform, Relevate SSO, is preparing to launch in April.

SAN ANTONIO – Construction industry veteran Helena P. Finley has been named Managing Director and Executive Vice President for San Antonio-based Embrey. She will be responsible for all multifamily residential and commercial buildings in Embrey’s multistate market portfolio. Before joining Embrey, Finley with Vero Sade. Trey Embrey is President and CEO of Embrey.

PHOENIX – JLL Capital Markets announced that Brian Smuckler, Jeff Seaman, Derek Smigiel and Bryson Fricke have joined the firm’s multi-housing investment sales advisory team in Phoenix.

DALLAS – Stream Realty Partners announced the appointment of Kate Lengyel as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Jack Russo has been promoted to Senior Vice President, specializing in office agency leasing. … … JLL also promoted the Houston industrial brokers – Carl Mueller and Will Clay were promoted to Senior Vice Presidents. David Holland was named Vice President, and Eliza Klein was promoted to Senior Associate. …… … JLL’s Tim Gregory, specializing in healthcare and life sciences, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, while Isaiah Wilson, within the land advisory, has moved to Senior Associate.

HOUSTON – The Southwest Region of Rockefeller announced that Cavanaugh Adams has joined its development team. Previously Adams was with Provident Realty Advisors.

HOUSTON – Courtney Ray was promoted to vice president of marketing at Brookfield Properties in Houston.

LAS VEGAS – Members of the National Association of Home Builders elected four senior officers at the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas recently. Taking the helm as NAHB’s Chairman of the Board this year is Carl Harris, a Wichita, Kan.-based. Buddy Hughes, a Lexington, N.C.-based home builder was elected as First Vice Chairman of the Board. Bill Owens, a Worthington, Ohio-based builder was elected as Second Vice Chairman of the Board. Bob Peterson of Fort Collins, Colo. was elected Third Vice Chairman of the Board. … 2023 NAHB Chairman Alicia Huey of Alabama remains on the leadership ladder as the 2024 Immediate Past Chairman. Rounding out the association’s leadership is NAHB’s President and CEO Jim Tobin.
