HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Midway CEO Jonathan Brinsden has left the Houston real estate firm to pursue opportunity on the West Coast. Brinsden, who also as serves as ULI Americas Chairman for the non-profit Urban Land Institute, had been with Midway for 20 years. Midway Chairman Brad Freels has added the CEO post. Midway executive Jamie Bryant now holds the titles of president and chief operating officer. Midway has developed a number of notable projects in Houston, including the CityCentre mixed-use project near the Katy Freeway and Beltway 8; the GreenStreet development in downtown; and the 150-acre East River which is under development on the Buffalo Bayou waterfront near downtown.


JLL has added an experienced 19-person tenant representation team including: Brandon Clarke, Steve Hesse, Sanford Criner, Charles Gordon, Graham Horton, Matt Trozzo, Jeff Cairns, and Paul Penland among others. They had been with CBRE.


Travis Rodgers was promoted to partner and chief operating officer of NAI Partners, according to Jon Silberman, managing partner of the Texas-based commercial real estate firm. NAI Partners also announced Eryn Bays was named director of training and development.


Zachary Taylor  has joined Colliers as senior vice president of industrial services in Houston. He will work closely with Colliers’ John Nicholson  in Colliers Logistics and Transportation Solutions Group.


Correne Loeffler has been named chief financial officer at the Howard Hughes Corp. She previously was CFO at Whiting Petroleum


Carl Savato has joined Cushman & Wakefield’s office leasing and tenant representation team in San Antonio.


Empire Communities, one of North America’s largest privately held homebuilders, has appointed Terry Shuffler as new Division President in Central Texas.
