NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – (Realty News Report) – PNC Bank has leased Parkview Plaza, a new 58,574 SF class A office building in New Braunfels.

San Antonio-based Koontz Corp. developed the building and is developing a 47,000-SF office building nearby.

Pittsburgh-based PNC Bank one of the largest diversified financial institutions in the U.S., will use the building as its new operations center. The bank will employ as many as 550 workers once the center is fully functioning.

“We’ve been actively developing and investing in New Braunfels since we first started the Sundance Business Park,” said Koontz President and CEO Bart Koontz. “This community, long known for its fantastic quality of life attributes, is now being recognized as a prime business location, as well. The city’s location along the IH-35 corridor, close proximity to Austin and San Antonio, and its highly-qualified workforce make it the perfect spot for companies expanding or relocating to Texas.”

PNC Bank was represented by Andy Strand, of JLL Commercial Real Estate’s Chicago office, as well as Jeff Miller and Ben Jordan, of JLL’s San Antonio office. Koontz Corporation was represented by its own Loren Gulley, Vice President of Development, as well as Mike Ybarra, of New Braunfels-based Legacy Commercial Real Estate.

Parkview Plaza, located at 2049 Sundance Parkway, just off FM 306 and approximately one mile from IH-35, was completed by Koontz in 2018.

Since its founding in 1997, Koontz Corporation has developed over 7 million SF of commercial properties. The company also has two apartment projects under construction – Palmetto Pointe Apartment Homes, located in San Antonio at 4835 USAA Boulevard; and Encino Trace in College Station.
