Skanska’s Energy Corridor Development Rebounds from Hurricane and Gains New Tenant

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Skanska’s West Memorial Place office campus, which sustained damage during Hurricane Harvey, has gained a new tenant, Crossmark Global Investments.

The firm, represented by Kevin Saxe of CBRE, leased 16,000 SF. Russell Hodges and Bubba Hawkins of JLL represented Skanska.

The Skanska development is located in the Energy Corridor on Memorial Drive, south of Interstate 10 and west of Eldridge – and south of Addicks Reservoir.

Skanska’s 331,000-SF West Memorial Place I is now 71 percent leased. The 385,000-SF West Memorial Place II is 45 percent leased.

Although the Energy Corridor submarket was impacted due to Hurricane Harvey, Skanska announced in November that both buildings at West Memorial Place had come back online and were fully functional, making them the first office buildings in the area to recover after the storm.

Skanska’s other Houston-area projects include the Capitol Tower development, a 35-story, 750,000-SF downtown office tower with Bank of America as a major tenant. Also under development is Spring Crossing, a 3-phase project projected to deliver 850,000-SF of office space near the Woodlands.
