HOUSTON – Atlanta-based Songy Highroads has opened Hyatt Place Houston Galleria, a 157-room, select-service hotel located across from the Galleria shopping center.

The 12-story hotel, situated at 5252 W. Alabama St., is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality. It contains three floors of common space and 10 guest-room floors with both suites and standard rooms

Songy also developed an adjacent Hyatt property – the Hyatt Regency Houston Galleria, a 325-room, full-service hotel which opened in October.

“The Uptown District already offers some of Houston’s best shopping, dining, and entertainment options, and now we get to add a premier select-service hotel to that mix,” said Todd Nocerini, COO of Songy Highroads, the hotel’s owner. “With our Hyatt Regency already experiencing great success, we feel we’re providing options for every business and leisure traveler wishing to visit the city.”

Songy’s two new Hyatt hotels are part of a 7.6-acre mixed-use development that also contains two office towers along with high-end retail.

Songy Highroads, LLC is an Atlanta-based commercial real estate firm that focuses on the acquisition, development and redevelopment of institutional-quality real estate projects primarily in the office and hotel sectors. Since 1992, Songy Highroads has completed more than $1.5 billion of acquisitions in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington, D.C.
