HOUSTON – Archway Properties will break ground next month on an eight-story, 200,000-square-foot speculative office building approximately one mile north of ExxonMobil’s new campus.
The building is the second phase of Wildwood Corporate Centre and it follows the completion of the Wildwood Corporate Centre I building in July.
The campus is located on Wildwood Forest Drive, just off Interstate Highway 45.
Exxon Mobil’s new 3 million square foot campus, where 10,000 people will work, is nearing completion and several thousand employees are already working there.
The developer has relocated two 100-year-old live oak trees to make room for the new building.
Tomball, Texas-based Environmental Design orchestrated the tree relocation, which involved months of preparation to ensure the successful transplant of the 60-foot tall trees
“We are committed to adhering to the highest environmental standards on this development, which means protecting trees that were here long before these buildings,” said Ben Allen, Development Manager of Archway Properties who is responsible for the development of both phases of Wildwood Corporate Centre on behalf of GeoSouthern Energy.
“This project is a true testament to GeoSouthern Energy’s commitment to the environment and it ties in well with The Woodlands community’s focus on maintaining a natural environment,” said Steve Rocher, Executive Vice President at CBRE. “Many companies in the Greater Houston area look for sustainability and green elements in their office buildings and this is a big selling factor for Wildwood Corporate Centre.”
Rocher, Debbie Wilson and Jason Presley, with CBRE’s Houston office, are the exclusive leasing agents for Wildwood Corporate Centre II.
