HOUSTON – Transwestern will lease the 40-story KBR Tower and the 20-story 500 Jefferson buildings in downtown Houston. Combined, the two buildings have 1.4 million SF of office space.
The buildings, which are part of the Cullen Center complex, are owned by W.P. Carey.
Michelle Wogan and Paula Musa of Transwestern will handle the assignment. The KBR Tower, located at 601 Jefferson, has 30,000 SF of
available space, Wogan says. Some 50,000 SF is available at the 500 Jefferson building, which opened in 1962.
The KBR Tower was designed Neuhaus & Taylor Architects. The building, which was completed in 1973, has 25,000-SF on a typical floor. The tower, located between Smith and Louisiana streets, has more than 60,000 SF of retail space.
Cullen Center was developed by the family of Hugh Roy Cullen.
