John Furnace

Cresa, the world’s largest tenant-only commercial real estate firm, continued its global growth initiative with the announcement of two new hires in its Houston office. John Furnace, formerly of NKF, joins Cresa as a vice president, leading all phases of project management for the Houston market. Bryan Strong joins the firm as a research director. André Granello, managing principal of Cresa’s Houston office, announced the additions.

Gary Brown has joined NAI Partners where he will lead the firm’s new Valuation and Advisory practice. Brown had been with the Altus Group.  In his new role, Mr. Brown will oversee real estate appraisal and advisory services, including property tax consulting, feasibility and market studies, due diligence, and capital market research, said NAI Partners’ Jon Silberman, managing partner.

Skanska USA has announced that Dennis Yung, an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in commercial construction, has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager overseeing Houston and Dallas. Yung, who will be based in Skanska’s Houston office, initially joined the company in 1999.

Diane Gilbert-Guthrie

Stonemark Management of Atlanta has hired multifamily real estate veteran Diane Gilbert-Guthrie as a Regional Vice President. She will oversee the firm’s management portfolios in Texas and Tennessee. Based in Texas, she earned the 2019 Houston Apartment Association Executive of the Year award.

Gensler, the global architecture and design firm, aims to increase resilient design efforts in its South Central region with the addition of Design Director Lance Hosey to its Austin office. As a transfer from Gensler’s San Diego office, Hosey serves as the Global Co-Leader of Design Resilience.

Gayle Blakeley Farris has joined Transwestern Development as Regional Partner – Life Sciences & Healthcare.

McCarthy Building Cos. hired Kamecia Mason as diversity director.

Peter Petricca was promoted to managing director over Crescent Communities multifamily operations in Dallas.
