HOUSTON – (By Dale King, Realty News Report) – A newly launched online rating system gives home buyers a forum to offer “honest, transparent reviews” of the builder that constructed their residence, says the CEO of the company that provides the service.
As a result, folks looking for a firm to build a dwelling have the advantage of drawing upon comments from those who’ve gone through process.
Builders Digital Experience (BDX), provider of marketing and technology solutions for the homebuilding industry, recently announced the kick-off of the TrustBuilder program to gather and provide ratings and reviews.
Powered by the website, NewHomeSource.com, TrustBuilder provides evaluations from actual homeowners about their experience.
“The program creates the leading destination for homebuyer reviews that are independent, transparent and credible, delivering a more complete and accurate representation of buyer sentiment,” said Tim Costello, CEO of BDX.
“Last year, we embarked on a mission to transform the way buyers gather information as they shop for new homes,” he said. “We know 93% of consumers read product reviews before making an online purchase and that products with reviews see an increase in sales.”
The head of Beazer Homes, with a dozen locations in and around Houston as well as many in Florida, offered a comment in the BDX news release.
“We are proud to support TrustBuilder, the only source of ratings and reviews from fully-verified new home buyers,” said Allan Merrill, the firm’s president and CEO. “By providing access to reviews from known new home owners, TrustBuilder should become an integral part of the new home shopping process for buyers and a credible demonstration of the commitment we have made to deliver a great new home buying experience.”
Realty News Report reached out to several other builders who declined to comment.
