HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – CommonGrounds Workplace, a San Diego-based coworking company, has opened a 27,747-SF location in the Three Greenway Plaza building in Houston’s Inner Loop.
Parkway Property Investors’ Greenway Plaza is one of Houston’s largest employment centers with over 4.9 million SF of office space in 11 office buildings on a 52-acre campus near the Southwest Freeway, Buffalo Speedway and Richmond Avenue.
“Greenway Plaza is home to the perfect mix of corporations and growing start-ups in the Houston market,” said Jacob Bates, chief executive officer for CommonGrounds. “Our premium, flexible workplace is a great catalyst to create synergy between those businesses and the companies looking to be near them.”
CommonGrounds in-house creative team designed the workplace with Houston architect of record, Ziegler Cooper Architects. The general contractor was Arch-Con Corp., a Houston firm led by Michael Scheurich.
Bobby Spoden is the CommonGrounds workplace manager, and Sam Pouns and Molly Perrotta with Fritsche Anderson Realty Partners is marketing the space.
Parkway Property Investors oversees Greenway Plaza. Three Greenway Plaza is a 21-story, 519,000-SF that was developed by Century Development. The Greenway Plaza leasing team is led by Eric Siegrist and J.P. Hutcheson.
The CommonGrounds workplace, on the concourse level of Three Greenway, will serve up to 458 members. The workplace is configured into spacious private offices and team rooms, dedicated gathering places, and conversation areas. Six video-enabled conference rooms, wellness rooms, and an abundance of phone booths complete the space.
CommonGrounds also has a facility in Fort Worth and others around the nation.
