D’Agostino Starts Multifamily Project at Baybrook

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – (Realty News Report) – D’Agostino Companies is building the 291-unit The Reserve at Baybrook apartments adjacent to Baybrook Mall on the southeast side of the Houston area.

D’Agostino Companies, based in Houston, primarily focused on developing office, retail, medical office before moving into multifamily.  This is the second multifamily project for D’Agostino Companies, which formed its multifamily division in May of 2018, with the hiring of Greg Talbert.

D’Agostino Companies purchased the Baybrook land in July 2020 from Finwood Properties Co, managed by CDC Houston, a subsidiary of Coventry Development Corp. of New York.

JLL’s Chris Bergmann Jr. represented D’Agostino Companies in the off-market land acquisition. The seller was unrepresented in the transaction. Oden Hughes was selected as the general contractor, and they commenced construction in late December.  The project is scheduled to open in May 2022.

“The barriers to entry, limited new supply, access to employment, convenient access to retail, restaurants and entertainment, great schools, and strong local employment base is what attracted us to the site”, says Greg Talbert, D’Agostino Companies Multifamily Division President.

D’Agostino’s site is within the  Clear Creek ISD and is adjacent to a new LifeTime Fitness and the Baybrook Mall, which recently completed a 500,000 SF expansion including an open-air lifestyle center with a central green space.

The Reserve at Baybrook will include a mix of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom floor plans averaging 921 SF.  The unit interiors will feature 10-foot ceilings, wood style flooring, stone countertops, tile backsplashes, custom 42-inch cabinets, and full-size washers and dryers.  The project amenities will consist of a resort style pool, outdoor dining and entertainment areas, a clubhouse with a premier fitness center, and a golf simulator room.

D’Agostino Companies has three other developments in the planning stages in Texas and Florida.
