Wet Sounds Launches in Rosenberg

ROSENBERG, Texas – (Realty News Report) – Wet Sounds, a maker of high-performance marine and powersports audio systems, has opened a new facility in Rosenberg with 118,386 SF of warehouse, fabrication and office space.

A design/build project by Houston-based KDW, the new Wet Sounds facility is located on a 27-acre tract at 2975 Louise Street, about a mile north of the Southwest Freeway (Highway 59).

The site, near Airport Avenue, has been master planned to accommodate a total of 275,000 SF of future development.

Founded in 2005, Wet Sounds product lines include high-end marine and powersports amps, soundbars and subwoofers.  The company also offers a line of audio-powered coolers and accessories.

Currently located in southwest Houston, Wet Sounds employs 45 warehouse, fabrication office personnel.

The Wet Sounds project is part of a continued expansion to the southwest of Houston into Fort Bend County. Located about 20 miles southwest of Houston, Fort Bend County calls itself the most diverse county in Texas and touts its status as an inclusive community. Growth has been surging beyond Fort Bend’s  Sugar Land.

As Sugar Land reaches a saturation point, residential development is spiking in the Rosenberg-Richmond market, where both cities have scored major economic development wins in the past year. Soon to open in Rosenberg is Dollar Tree’s  1 million-SF distribution center.

In another recent project, Biotics Research Corp., a nutritional supplement company, is constructing a new corporate headquarters, research facility, warehouse, and distribution site in the City of Rosenberg. The 87,569 SF new facility will be built in the Rosenberg Business Park, according to the Fort Bend Economic Development Council.
