BAYTOWN, Texas – In another deal showing the strength of east side of Houston, investors have purchased Baytown Plaza, a 107,000 SF retail center on Garth Road in Baytown.
Amirex Capital Services bought the center, which is 98 percent occupied, is 25 miles east of downtown Houston. Some $100 billion is being spent on chemical plant expansions in the regional, generating significant blue-collar job growth, residential and retail activity.
The seller of the center, Gulf Coast Commercial, was represented by JLL’s George Cushing, Wendy Vandeventer and Meaghan Gallacher.
The eastern side of the Houston area has been gaining momentum because of blue-collar job growth related to massive chemical plant expansions in the region.
