HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Nearing built-out status, MetroNational has broken ground on a nine-story, 190,000-SF spec office tower in Memorial City, a 265-acre mixed-use project in West Houston.

“The new office tower will mark the completion of a 2.7-million square-foot campus in Memorial City,” said Jason Johnson, President of MetroNational. “Over the span of a decade, MetroNational has delivered a mixed-use environment that includes six Class A office buildings totaling 1.7-million square-feet, a brand-new Hotel ZaZa Memorial City, and three luxury apartment high-rises. This is the culmination of our long-term vision for building a city-within-a-city in West Houston that will continue into the future.”

The new building, located at 9753 Katy Freeway, at the southwest corner of Bunker Hill and the Katy Freeway, was designed by Kirksey Architects.

The new building is part of a 4-acre mixed-use project, which includes The McKinley, a 25-story residential tower and will be the tallest multi-family tower west of Uptown Houston. The 332,231 square-foot all-rental apartment building broke ground at 9757 Katy Freeway in July 2019. Ziegler Cooper designed the building.

MetroNational is a privately-held real estate investment, development, and management company headquartered in Houston.  The company, which was founded in 1954, owns and manages more than 9.6 million SF of commercial real estate properties primarily located in Greater Houston.
