Article Furniture’s Massive Warehouse Underway

BAYTOWN – (Realty News Report) – A 507,000-SF warehouse will be built in TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park for an online furniture company called Article.

NAI Partners’ John Simons and Gray Gilbert, represented TGS Cedar Port Partners,

in the transaction. The Article company was represented by Andrew Lord and Walker Barnett of Colliers.

Covering a total of 15,000 acres, the TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park the largest master-planned, rail-and-barge-served industrial park in America – a heavyweight among business parks. Located in west Chambers County near the Grand Parkway, TGS Cedar Port is right across the Houston Ship Channel from Barbours Cut and Bayport container terminals. And the industrial park has both Union Pacific and BNSF railroads.

Last year, was a record-breaking year for Cedar Port, with over 10 million SF in warehouse and distribution construction

The Article furniture company was started in 2013. By focusing on a “digital-first experience, Article is able to pass along savings to customers. Article has grown rapidly, achieving profitability by 2015. Today, it has delivered more than 1 million orders across Canada and the U.S.
