Avera Expands Century Plaza Distribution Center

HOUSTON – Avera, a Houston-based commercial real estate development, construction and investment firm, has acquired additional land for an expansion of Century Plaza Distribution Center in North Houston.

Avera has acquired 8.2 acres located at 350 Century Plaza Drive for the fourth phase of the industrial park. Avera is making the site available for a build-to-suit project. Preliminary plans include a 126,340-sf front-load building with outside storage.

The 25-acre Century Plaza Distribution Center is located east of Interstate 45, between Airtex Drive and Richey Road.

The earlier phases of Century Plaza include a 150,000-sf spec cross-dock building, which is under construction; a 92,000-sf building that was occupied by ABC Supply last year and a new150,000-sf building occupied by Prime Source Building Products.

Avera, has a number of industrial projects under construction across the state of Texas, including 225RailPort at Beltway 8 and Highway 225 in Pasadena. A 600,000-sf building is being constructed there for Frontier Logistics, which was represented by Cassidy Turley’s  John Nicholson, who was just named NAIOP Houston’s Industrial Broker of the Year.
