Avison Young Pros Move to Todd Mason’s MLB Firm

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Professionals from the Houston office of Avison Young have been hired by MLB Commercial Real Estate, the brokerage division of Houston-based private investment company MLB Capital Partners.

MLB Commercial Real Estate’s five new hires are: Partner Tommy LeBlanc, Vice President Thomas Monaghan, Vice President John-Michael Kamel, Senior Associate Blake Steele, and Brokerage Operations Manager Elizabeth Riley.

They will enhance MLB’s talent base in the land sector and all acquisitions, dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and enterprise solutions across asset classes.

“We are bullish on Houston’s commercial real estate market and thrilled to welcome these talented individuals to our team,” said Todd Mason, Partner, MLB CRE.

LeBlanc has negotiated nearly $1 billion in transactions in his career will lead the Land Division at MLB. LeBlanc is “a seasoned veteran and leader in the Greater Houston land market,” said Jeff Lindenberger, Partner, MLB CRE.

MLB Capital Partners is widely known for its acquisition and redevelopment of The Houston Farmers Market, a 17.7-acre, open-air market on Airline Drive in The Heights.

MLB’s Todd Mason founded Mason Partners, a Houston firm acquired by Avison Young in 2012. Earlier in his career he was with the highly regarded McDade, Smith, Gould, Johnston, Mason & Company, a commercial brokerage firm founded in 1991 by Bill McDade, Sid Smith and Dick Gould.

MLB Capital Partners was founded by Mason, Lindenberger and Fred Baca.

Mason formerly served as chairman of the Houston Association of Realtors.
