Skanska’s West Memorial Place development in the Energy Corridor sustained damaged during Hurricane Harvey. Repairs were completed in November 2017. The development is next to Terry Hershey Park.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – BP Lower 48 has leased 91,000-SF in Skanska’s West Memorial Place II building at 15373 Memorial Drive in the Energy Corridor. The building was one of many properties that suffered damage in Hurricane Harvey last year.

BP Lower 48, which moved its headquarters last month to a new Trammell Crow building in Denver, is one of the nation’s largest natural gas producers operating 10,000 well with interests in 13,000 others.

“Their expertise in the energy sector and history in the Houston market make them an ideal addition to our Energy Corridor campus,” said Matt Damborsky, executive vice president of Skanska USA Commercial Development.

Skanska has two buildings there, located adjacent to Terry Hershey Park: The 330,000-SF West Memorial Place I; and the 385,000-SF West Memorial Place II.

BP Lower 48 will occupy three floors formerly occupied by IHI E&C. JLL’s Louis Rosenthal and Anya Marmuscak represented BP Lower 48 in the transaction. Mark O’Donnell and Jennifer Jordan of Savills Studley were involved in the lease.

BP Lower 48 will be relocating to the Skanska building from the nearby Three Eldridge Place building.

BP Lower 48 is in an expansion mode. It is buying $10.5 billion of Texas shale assets in the Permian Basin, the Eagle Ford Shale and the Haynesville Shale from BHP Billiton.
