The basic glazed doughnut may be outclassed by the wildly creative doughnuts generated by the Voodoo organization. In a news release, the firm described the company co-founders as “kooky.”

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – World famous Voodoo Doughnut, known for its innovative doughnuts and unique culture,  is expanding into Houston.

The store on Washington Avenue will be serving doughnuts 24/7 and will be Voodoo’s first ever drive-thru location. The doughnut outlet will open this summer.

its Texas footprint and is excited to announce that it will be opening its first location in the great city of Houston, Texas. Known for its innovative doughnuts and unique culture, Voodoo is ready to spread their magic to the Bayou City opening on Washington Avenue in late summer.

“We are ecstatic to continue our expansion in Texas, adding to our existing location in Austin,” says Voodoo Doughnut co-founder Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson. “We look forward to contributing to the Houston community and eager to find amazing people that thrive in a fun, high energy environment to join the team. Get ready to see our iconic pink boxes in the coming year!”

Voodoo Doughnut is the brainchild of old friends Cat Daddy Pogson and Tres Shannon. In 2003 they decided to embark on a shared entrepreneurial venture–something that combined quality hospitality with their daring do-it-yourself brand of show business and delicious doughnuts. Creators of the Bacon Maple Bar, Portland Cream, and Memphis Mafia… Voodoo has taken the world by storm. With their crazy concoctions, their “kooky co-founders” have taken the classic doughnut shop and raised it to a new level, Voodoo Doughnuts said in a statement.

Cat Daddy and Tres built their “little doughnut shop that could,” into a dynamic fun zone in front of and behind the counter, with locations in Oregon, Colorado, Texas, California & Florida.
