CBRE Appoints Russell Hodges as Houston Market Leader

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – CBRE announced Monday that Russell Hodges has been appointed Senior Managing Director and Houston Market leader, including New Orleans and Baton Rouge. In this role, he will oversee the market’s business operations and drive the growth strategies for all CBRE Advisory Service lines, including leasing, sales, debt and structured finance, valuation and property management.

“Russell is a long-standing leader in Houston’s commercial real estate market, possessing a deep understanding of the area’s unique culture, clientele, and community,” said Brooke Armstrong, Advisory Services Group President for CBRE’s West Region. “His thoughtful leadership and decision-making style, proven ability to win business and meet client needs, and deep operational expertise make him well-suited to lead this team to continued success.”

Hodges has led the CBRE Houston Investor business for the last two years, building on a successful 19-year career in brokerage where he represented office building investors, developers and operators across Greater Houston.

“The collective strength, dedication and momentum of our CBRE teams across Houston, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge is truly inspiring,” said Hodges. “I am eager to continue collaborating with these exceptional professionals, fostering an environment where innovation thrives, expanding our leading market share and achieving new heights for our clients.”

Hodges will replace Peter Mainguy who has stepped down from the role to pursue other opportunities.

Hodges, a graduate of Texas Christian University, joined CBRE in Houston in 2021 as an Executive Vice President on the Houston Office Agency Leasing team.  Earlier in his career, he leased office space as an agency leasing broker in Houston for several major real estate firms, including Hines, Crescent Real Estate, Colvill Office Properties and JLL.

CBRE, with over 200 licensed real estate professionals, is ranked as the largest commercial real estate firm in Houston, according to Houston Business Journal.
