CBRE Opens Texas Office Near Historic Brewery Redevelopment

SAN ANTONIO – (Realty News Report) – CBRE has opened its new San Antonio office in a new building near the historic Pearl brewery redevelopment.

The 17,000-SF office is on the top floor of Silver Ventures’ new Oxbow building. CBRE consolidated its three San Antonio offices consisting of 90 employees into this new location at 1803 Broadway St.

Collaborative Workplace

The new office is part of CBRE’s global Workplace360 initiative that reimagines CBRE workspaces to promote flexibility, mobility and productivity through technology-enabled, free-address, and reduced paper offices.

“Our new Workplace360 office features a flexible work environment and exceptional amenities in a vibrant location, providing our employees and clients with the best possible workplace experience,” said Gardner Peavy, managing director at CBRE in San Antonio. “Bringing our employees together across multiple service lines and offices will allow them to fully embrace the new technology and collaborate more effectively.”

CBRE’s Workplace360 initiative provides a flexible way of working and a system of places, technologies, and behaviors that allow for choice based on an employee’s needs throughout the day. The office features a variety of work settings – a balance of both collaborative and private spaces – and enhanced technology that supports a mobile way of working. CBRE’s in-house design practice managed the workplace design, and its Workplace practice manages the workplace strategy research and change management.

CBRE leased 17,000 SF in of Silver Ventures’ new Oxbow building in San Antonio.

The design concept at the new office blends San Antonio’s past with the city’s modern revitalization. It includes a painted mural that showcases San Antonio’s Texas heritage and conference room names that are San Antonio-themed. Other local artwork, as well as a gallery wall with historical photography of the Pearl site, line the new office’s walls.

The building is north of downtown near Brackenridge Park.

Leveraging CBRE’s Corporate Real Estate, Workplace, Design, Project Management, Advisory & Transaction Services, and Operations teams, the San Antonio Workplace360 office is a true collaboration between service lines. CBRE’s Christi Griggs and Steve Thomas, who oversee the leasing and marketing for the Oxbow, represented Silver Ventures in the lease negotiations.

The new eight-story 112,000-SF Oxbow building features ground-floor retail and restaurant space.

CBRE’s Workplace 360 in Houston

In 2018, CBRE opened its new Houston office demonstrating the new Workplace 360 concept. That Houston office is located in Williams Tower, a 64-story Hines building adjacent to the Galleria.

Last year, CBRE, leased 20,000 SF to relocate  its Las Vegas office to a new mixed-use project named the Uncommons – one of the nation’s first projects constructed with the new WELL V2 Pilot standards for health and wellness.UnCommons is the first development in Nevada to be constructed with WELL Building Standards and one of the first in the nation to be built to standards set by the new WELL v2 pilot, the first rating system to focus exclusively on the impacts of buildings on human health and wellness.
