FORT WORTH – The Walsh development, a new 7,200-acre community about 20 miles west of downtown Fort Worth off of Interstate 20, has named its initial home builders.
David Weekley Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes and Village Homes will begin building homes in the first phase of the project in November.
Republic Property of Dallas is the developer of Walsh, which will include more than 15,000 houses.
Republic and Weekley are contemplating some small-lot homes with alley-loaded garages in a portion of the project.
