HOUSTON – EastGroup, a REIT based in Jackson, Miss., has several new projects under construction in Houston and San Antonio.
West Road IV, a 65,000 square foot business distribution building in Houston; and World Houston 42, a 100 percent pre-leased, 94,000 square foot business distribution building.
The West Road project has an estimated construction cost of $5.4 million. The World Houston project will cost $5.7 million. Both buildings are scheduled for completion in August.
EastGroup also is planning a large industrial project in northeast San Antonio where the company acquired 38 acres of development land for $4.4 million. The land, coupled with 30 additional acres the Company is under contract to purchase, will be the site of Eisenhauer Point, a business park with nine buildings totaling 900,000 square feet.
