Engineering Firm Leases Space for HQ

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Cobb, Fendley & Associates, a Houston-based civil engineering firm, has leased 52,120-SF of office space in West Houston near Clay Road for its headquarters.

CobbFendley is relocating from the Northwest Freeway (Highway 290.)

CobbFendley signed a 10-year lease and will occupy two floors in the Westway II building at 4424 West Sam Houston Parkway North

CBRE’s Abby Alford and Lucian Bukowski represented CobbFendley. Chip Colvill with Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, Workspace Property Trust.

The new office space will feature a modern design with an emphasis on elevating the employee experience with workspace solutions that promote wellness and collaboration. The general contractor for the project was Arch-Con and the architect was Kirksey.

“Our new office space will be transformative in how we interact with each other, our clients and the community”, said Monica Silver, CobbFendley President and CEO. “We took our time and gave every detail thoughtful consideration to allow for an equally functional and comfortable environment for our employees.”

The Westway II building is located in the 150-acre master-planned Westway office park, located at the intersection of the Sam Houston Tollway and Clay Road, between Interstate 10 and U.S. 290.

Westway Park was developed by Wolff Companies, a real estate firm led by David Wolff, a highly skilled land marketer who is credited with popularizing the name “Energy Corridor” – a west Houston submarket that has name ID around the world. Mr. Wolff is called “The Father of the Energy Corridor.”

To kick-off its original marketing program at the Westway business park, Wolff hosted an inaugural barbecue luncheon at the site in October 1998.

Westway II is a Class A, 10-story office building located near Houston’s Energy Corridor neighborhood. The building features a fitness center, café and conference center and is located near restaurants, hotels and parks.

“CobbFendley was focused on ensuring a superior workplace experience for their employees from day one of our partnership,” said Alford, Transaction Management Director with CBRE. “We were pleased to find a location and office space that is consistent with CobbFendley’s culture and commitment to their clients, employees and community.”
