Fein Completes Apartments Near New Hewlett Packard Enterprises HQ

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – The Fein multifamily development company has completed a 332-unit garden-style apartment community near the new global headquarters of Hewlett Packard Enterprises.

Fein’s The Canopy at Springwoods Village is situated within Springwoods Village, a $10-billion, 1,800-acre, mixed-use community situated along the west side of Interstate 45 between Springwoods Village Parkway and Grand Parkway.

The Canopy has bike trail access to all of Springwoods Village’s major employment centers – ExxonMobil, HP, ABS, Southwestern Energy and the CHI St Luke’s medical campus in addition to the future HPE headquarters, 440,000-SF office project under construction. The recent relocation of HPE headquarters from California to Houston made national headlines.

The Canopy is situated on a 17.44-acre tract purchased from CDC Houston, the developer of Springwoods Village.

The two- and three- story, upscale apartment community, designed by Steinberg Dickey Collaborative and constructed by Westchase Construction, with a selection of efficiency and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes, and several one- and three- bedroom townhomes. The units range in size from 552 square feet to 1,705 square feet. Rents begin at under $1,000 per month and range up to $2,170 with some opening specials available.

The Canopy features a reflection garden with an Edward Lee Hendricks public art sculpture and a “canopy” of trees and a resort style pool with sun shelves and poolside cabanas, all overlooking a central, 1.5-acre lake surrounded by a walk/ jog trail.

This is the third multifamily project Fein has built in Springwoods Village following:  The Mark at Springwoods Village CityPlace, located at 1600 Springwoods Plaza Drive, features 268-units in a 6-story concrete and steel wrap and The Belvedere in Springwoods Village, located at 2323 East Mossy Oaks Road, is a 342-unit five-story wood frame wrap.

Earlier this year, Fein sold the Belvedere Springwoods Village to MLG Capital of Wisconsin.
