GenCap Developing Multifamily Project in Northeast Houston

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – GenCap Partners, a Dallas-based multifamily real estate company, acquired 17 acres on West Lake Houston Parkway in Humble and plans to develop a 350-unit apartment complex on the land.

The new development, called The Sarah at Lake Houston, is located at 17810 West Lake Houston Parkway on the northeast side of Houston. The site is adjacent to Humble Independent School District’s Atascocita High School and lies just north of Generation Park, surrounded by several new upscale residential subdivisions.

“With the growing population in the Humble area and the superb surrounding amenities, we have no doubt this is a great location for our newest upscale apartment community,” GenCap’s Senior Vice President Todd Thomas said. “These units will be very affordable and appeal to a mix of families and young adults.”

The Sarah at Lake Houston broke ground last month and is expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2020. It will offer one- two- and three-bedroom options, including some townhome units, ranging in size from 560 SF to 1,616 SF.

Unit amenities will include nine-foot ceilings, wood-style flooring, and quartz countertops with tile backsplashes.

Community amenities include annon-site pet spa and dog park, outdoor sundeck with resort-style pool, lap pool and pool side cabanas, and a Biergarten and gathering courtyard.

“We love the market and the job-growth story in Houston,” Thomas said. “We have a lot invested here and hope to develop additional multifamily projects in the foreseeable future.”
