The 1100 Louisiana building in downtown Houston was developed by Hines.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Colvill Office Properties has closed on a 40,836-SF, long-term office lease renewal to Gibbs & Bruns, LLP at 1100 Louisiana, a 1,265,332-SF Class A office building in downtown Houston.

Gibbs & Bruns, a litigation boutique engaged exclusively in high-stakes business and commercial litigation, has occupied the two full floors since 1999. In 2017, the 55-story office tower was awarded by the Building Owners and Managers Association’s The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) in the Over 1 Million SF category in the Regional Competition and has maintained LEED Gold Certification since 2009.

Jay Holland of Informetrics represented Gibbs & Bruns in the lease renewal transaction. Chip Colvill and Paula Bruns of Colvill Office Properties represented the building’s ownership, Fantome Tower, LP. Hines professionally manages the property.

The 1100 Louisiana tower, completed in 1980, was developed by Hines. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the building features a Spanish Rose Granite façade and an open plaza. The building, which is connected to the downtown tunnel system, has extensive retail space.

Colvill Office Properties specializes in landlord representation of office buildings and currently directs leasing and marketing of 17 million square feet of Class A office space in Houston. The firm currently leases 13 percent of the Class A and 32 percent of the CBD office space in the city.
