Health Food Joins Memorial Park Menu

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report)Healthy living and healthy eating have paired up at Memorial Park, where the opening of Vibrant café joins the eclectic mix of dining venues available within Houston’s largest urban park.

A portion of café revenue will benefit Memorial Park Conservancy’s efforts to maintain and preserve the 1,466-acre park.

Houston-based Vibrant operates a Montrose location as well, and is known for its commitment to wellness and sustainability.

Sited within the park’s new running complex, completed last fall, the all-day dining option – and gathering space — makes the most of its bucolic surroundings. Light-filled space within seamlessly transitions to the natural aesthetic beyond.

The project team included Schaum Architects with interior elements by Vibrant’s founder, Kelly Barnhart.

“The café’s opening and broader expansion of dining and recreational options in the park reflect our ongoing commitment to meet the diverse needs of all Houstonians,” said Shellye Arnold, president and CEO of Memorial Park Conservancy in project press materials.

Vibrant’s natural, organic fare joins Becks Prime at Memorial Park Golf Course and the rotating food truck menus within Live Oak Court.

The care is part of Memorial Park’s Running Complex, a hub for programs and major access point on the south side of park. It’s located southwest of the Kinder Land Bridge and is a gateway to the Bayou Wilds trails.

The running complex is the latest project completed under the Memorial Park Master Plan and its associated Ten-Year Plan, both of which focus on park connectivity and access, natural resource protection and recreational assets.
