HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Home Depot leased 770,000 SF for a new distribution facility in Hines’ Grand National business park near Beltway 8 and Gessner Road adjacent to the Sam Houston Race Park in north Houston.
The build-to-suit was explained recently by Michael Keegan of NAI Partners in a media briefing.
The 107-acre Grand National is marketed by Jim Foreman and Allison Bergman of Cushman & Wakefield. Last year Hines bought the land from Maxxam Inc., a Houston-based firm led by noted investor Charles Hurwitz.
Hines said the land was being prepared for a mixed-use project with a 1.5 million SF of industrial space, a hotel and a retail center.
