HOUSTON – A 5-story, 135-room “EVEN” branded hotel, which emphasizes wellness, will be built in the Shenandoah community north of Houston, according to Colliers International.

Colliers International announced the sale of the 6.4-acre site, a vacant land parcel on Shenandoah Park Drive at David Memorial Drive in Montgomery County.

Tom Condon, Jr., and Charles Herder of Colliers International represented the seller.  Kevin Staloch with Staloch Realty Services represented the buyer. Jennifer Harmon with Old Republic Title – Conroe, coordinated the closing. Financing provided by Jason Beene with Benchmark Bank.

The new Even brand of hotels, part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, offers “a fresh perspective on travel to wellness-minded travelers. The brand was created with wellness at its core, providing a strong lifestyle offering that helps guests find the balance they seek throughout their journey.”

Even hotels have health-focused “Cork & Kale” menus, serving gluten-free items, kale and the like, as well as fitness centers. The brand’s slogan is: “Where Wellness is built in.”

The first Even hotel opened in Norwalk, Conn. in June 2014. The Shenandoah hotel will mark the entry of the Even brand to the Houston area market.
