HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – Some 72,600 jobs were created in the Houston area in the 12 months ending in February 2019, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.
Houston’s unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in February, an improvement over the 4.7 percent in February of 2018.
In the energy sector, oilfield services added 3,600 jobs, while exploration and production lost 300 jobs in February, reports Patrick Jankowski of the Greater Houston Partnership.
