The 1100 Louisiana building in downtown Houston was developed by Hines.

HOUSTON – (Realty News Report) – The King & Spalding, LLP law firm has renewed its long-term office lease at 1100 Louisiana, a 1,265,332-SF Class A office tower in downtown Houston.

King & Spalding, leases several floors in the 1100 Louisiana building, where it has been a tenant since 1995.  King & Spaulding has more than 1,000 lawyers in 20 offices globally.

“1100 Louisiana continues to be a highly desirable office location in the CBD submarket, competing strongly against even the new office developments,” said Chip Colvill of Colvill Office Properties, which leases the building. “We are very excited such a highly regarded international law firm opted to renew their lease, which is a significant testimony for the building and its ownership.”

Tim Relyea of Cushman & Wakefield represented King & Spalding in the lease renewal transaction. Chip Colvill and Paula Bruns of Colvill Office Properties represented the building’s ownership, Fantome Tower, LP. Hines  manages the property.

In 2017, the 55-story skyscraper was awarded by the Building Owners and Managers Association’s “Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY)”  in the Over 1 Million SF category in the Regional Competition. The tower and has maintained LEED Gold Certification since 2009.
